Hats off to the Kinsmen for putting on a very special event! It was the 50th anniversary of the Sports Celebrity Dinner. Over 1200 people packed TCU Place to see The Great One, Wayne Gretzky! However, we were treated to two other celebrity guests. The Prime Minister, plus Mr. Hockey....Gordie Howe!!! It was a spectacular evening! Steven Harper started off the show with a sit-down chat with the two hockey greats. The two of them later returned to the podium later in the evening for a question and answer session with the crowd. Kelly Chase..former NHL'er and Saskatoon Blades alumni was one of the guest speakers, as well as Jim Hopson from the Riders, who announced to the crowd that the Riders would be coming back to Saskatoon for training camp this season! Congratulations to the award winners and to the Kinsmen, but the real winners was the crowd who experienced a memorable evening!!!
